SEE Compulsory Mathematics (अनिवार्य गणित) is considered one of the most challenging papers by many students. But with the right preparation, it is also one of the most rewarding — because the questions are highly predictable and follow clear patterns year after year.
High-Weightage Topics
Based on analysis of the last 7 years of SEE question papers, these topics appear in every paper and carry the most marks:
- Sets (सेट) — Venn diagrams always appear
- Trigonometry (त्रिकोणमिति) — At least 2 questions every year
- Mensuration (क्षेत्रफल/आयतन) — 1–2 questions on surface area and volume

Time Management in the Exam
The SEE Math paper is 3 hours long. Allocate your time: 10 minutes for reading and planning, 50 minutes for Group A (short questions), and 100 minutes for Group B (long questions). Do not spend more than 12 minutes on any single question.
