What Examiners Look For
Nepali examiners reward three things above all else: grammatical accuracy, rich vocabulary, and well-structured answers. Even a student with average knowledge of Nepali literature can score high if their answers are clearly written, grammatically clean, and use formal साधु भाषा throughout.
The 80-20 Rule for Nepali Exam Prep
80% of your marks will come from 20% of the syllabus. Focus disproportionately on: essay writing (निबन्ध लेखन), grammar (व्याकरण), and the prescribed literature texts (पद्यखण्ड र गद्यखण्ड). These sections are guaranteed to appear and are directly teachable.
Mock Tests Are Essential
Solve at least 3 full mock Nepali papers under timed conditions before your exam. This builds exam stamina and reveals your personal time management weaknesses. Use the actual model question papers published by NEB and your school.
The Night Before the Exam
Do not study new material the night before. Instead, review your formula sheets, essay structures, and key grammar rules. Sleep by 10 PM. Your brain needs rest to perform at its best — not more information.
