The Diagram Advantage
In SEE Science, well-labelled diagrams can earn you 3–4 marks even if your written explanation is incomplete. Always draw large, clear diagrams with straight label lines. Practise drawing: the human heart, plant cell, animal cell, digestive system, and the eye.
Biology (Highest Yield Topics)
Cell biology, the human organ systems (respiratory, circulatory, digestive), plant reproduction, and heredity (Mendel's laws) appear consistently. Learn all definitions precisely — examiners look for specific scientific terms.
Chemistry (SEE Level)
Focus on: types of chemical reactions (combination, decomposition, displacement), acids and bases, the periodic table (first 20 elements), and basic organic chemistry. Writing balanced chemical equations correctly is worth significant marks.
Physics
Newton's laws of motion, work-energy-power, electricity (Ohm's law, parallel and series circuits), and waves (sound and light) are the highest-yield Physics topics for SEE. Always include units in numerical answers.
Technology Section
The Technology section tests basic computer knowledge: hardware vs. software, input/output devices, internet and networking, and binary number system. These are easy marks if you revise the textbook definitions carefully.
